About China Good Design

“China Good Design”, abbreviated as CGD, is organised by Red Dot. It is the first Chinese international design award under the strict statutes of Red Dot.

By selecting and presenting excellent industrial products, “China Good Design“ will promote the quality of Chinese consumer products globally. The work of the independent and international expert jury selected by Red Dot will ensure that the competition will earn excellent reputation and meet with international acceptance. Red Dot will dedicate its six decades expertise and resources in operating a world leading design award to guarantee the fairness and authoritativeness. “‘China Good Design’ will gradually become an international award followed by global brands”, emphasises Professor Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.

The registration for CGD 2017 will start from April 21st. All nominated products will be exhibited during the “Xiamen International Design Week – Red Dot in China”, held from 3 November until 5 November. At the same time, the participants will have an opportunity to meet the jurors, attend the grand award ceremony and join the “Designers’ Night”. Next year, winners of 2015, 2016 and 2017 can participate in a tour exhibition in Essen, Red Dot Design Museum. They also become part of PR moves and media coverage.

CGD Award-winners will enjoy services provided by a professional team under the guidance of Red Dot, for instance, market promotion, product exhibition, brand logo authorisation, etc. In their own communication and marketing, successful manufacturers and designers may use the distinctive winner labels to set themselves apart from competitors. The winner labels are a guide for consumers in an ever growing consumer market.
